Fractures

Dental fracture is one of the most common emergencies in dentistry. It happens to all age groups for a variety of reasons and can vary in size and the dental tissue involved.

Case 2

In this case, the patient had experienced trauma that resulted in a fracture, which was treated with composite many years ago.

Over time, the composite’s surface has stained and become yellow. In these situations, the old composite can just be removed and a new one is then applied.

Treatment

Worn Teeth

Worn teeth make people seem older as their teeth are shorter and have an unnaturally even appearance. While there are many causes, the majority are related to the grinding or clenching the teeth. Some people are aware of these habits and others are not as these generally occur during sleep.

In these cases, composite can be used to reshape the teeth, restore the bite and rejuvenate the smile. After cosmetic restorative treatment, the use of mouth guards is mandatory in order to protect the composite.
